Originally presented as part of an ideas completion, we have been developing this prefabricated modular housing system as part of our initiative to improve the state of housing within dense urban centres.

Micro living should not simply be a reduction of space to a fit a shoe box scale but embody a rethink of communal living. Our scheme offers a diversity of downsized units ranging from micro studios to 2 bedroom units mixed and matched to provide a community of young adults, single parent families, families and retirees.

The stackable units are constructed from CLT panels and clad in HPL panels and cedar. Units are entirely prefabricated and shipped to site ready to be plugged into the stacking grid.

daab was awarded honourable mention by the jury for the Future House competition and seeks a client with which to advance these ideas.
